“Show me the right path, O Lord; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by Your truth and teach me, for You are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in You.” 

David wrote this Psalm for protection and guidance from God. Throughout the Psalms, we see David continually asking God for guidance. He longed to have God direct his path and trusted He would do so. Are you longing for God to guide you? God’s providence is shown to us through scripture and the wisdom we can gain through spending time in His word. Gaining wisdom for the future begins when we search for it from the one true God. 

It can be challenging to wait for God’s timing. We see an immense blessing when we do, however, because we did not have to force our way. How beautiful to think God is working things out for us in ways we cannot yet see. David trusted God to the point that he already knew God would triumph before the battle even began. 

My prayer for us is that we can learn to have the great faith David had, believing God will guide us as we go through life seeking after Him. May you know God will care for you and direct your way because of His unfailing love.
