As a Night to Shine volunteer, you are committing to be at the event for the duration of the event, should your role require it. As a volunteer, the time frame of the event is 4:30 - 7:30PM on Tuesday, February 9. Childcare will not be provided for this event. We apologize for any inconvenience. Volunteers of any age may serve. However, we highly recommend that any volunteer under the age of 16 be supervised by a parent or guardian. All volunteers ages 18 and up are required to turn in a current background check and child abuse clearance one month prior to the event.

      Volunteer Roles & Descriptions

Listed below are the many volunteer opportunities for Night to Shine 2021! We encourage you to take a minute to look and read through them before starting your registration process. Thank you!


Decorations (Pre Event)

Decorate the event area for the drive thru event.

Packaging (Pre Event)

Package all of the guest experience gift kits that each guest will receive the night of the drive thru event.

Paparazzi

Treat honored guests like celebrities and VIP's as you smile and cheer them on throughout the night. Be dispersed throughout the parking lot to hold signs, wave, & make each guest feel loved & welcome. This position does not include photography.

Parking Lot

Maintain a parking lot pattern & direct traffic for easy vehicle entry & exit.

Prayer

Pray over the needs shared by honored guests, parents, & caregivers as well as for the night of the drive thru event & virtual experience.

Red Carpet

Manage flow & traffic around the red carpet & cheer on Honored Guests & make them feel welcomed. Assist photographer with setting up the photo frame for the guest's picture.

Respite

Love on the parents/caretakers by handing out special gifts during the Drive Thru Event.

Set Up//Tear Down (Pre & Post Event)

Arrive at the designated time & assist with setting up the event space as well as making sure the event gets taken down & cleaned up at the appropriate time.
