  • JOAN REESE

    MS, MFT, NCC

Joan is a Marriage and Family Counselor with more than 19 years working with individuals, couples, and families. She earned her Master's degree in Marriage and Family Counseling and Therapy from Capella University and her BA in Psychology from East Stroudsburg University. She strives to facilitate relational, behavioral, and spiritual well-being by helping individuals discover the tools and resources they need to build strong and long-lasting relationships. Her specialties include marital enhancement, pre-marital preparation, and co-parenting, concentrating on issues such as adoption, behavioral issues, family conflict, life transitions, and separation. It is her belief that marriage and family therapy allows us to be mindful and intentional in our effort to identify, explore and work through situations that would otherwise leave us unable to enjoy the life and love that God desires for us.

  • MATTHEW TAPPER

    MS

Since he can remember, Matthew has been adept at listening and developing relationships. In college he felt there was little choice in following a career in Psychology, hoping one day to provide counsel. In 2013 Matthew began his Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy and since, his passion for God and helping people has grown through a unique understanding of people, our problems and how everything can change. In addition to the wealth of experience gained through his training, Matthew has excelled in multiple positions since graduating in 2015. These include Mobile Therapist, Behavioral Specialist Consultant, and Outpatient Therapist. No matter the position, he believes his job is always to put himself out of a job by helping all forms of people know their own value and experience the personal freedom they’re looking for. Currently, he is seeing clients in a service called Systemic Counseling, utilizing insights gained from his training as a therapist, as well as his current PhD Program in Marriage and Family Therapy. Matthew believes God has brought him to BWC for a reason, and intends to put everything on the line to see that reason fulfilled.
